Business Systems Analyst (Charles River Trading System) – CLOSED/FILLED

2 year Temporary Position

Our client is seeking a dynamic and client-focused individual who will provide comprehensive application development, integration and maintenance services to their staff.

Functioning within a team and environment and broadly objectives, the Analyst contributes to order management systems and related application development, maintenance and enhancement projects from planning through testing, implementation and client training phases. This position also serves as a technical and analytical resource on various teams, projects and initiatives.

Key considerations of success will be the ability to take initiative, the ability to assess complex issues, making timely, effective, and efficient decisions given the pros and cons of a situation, experience, and judgement, and a careful review and analysis of the risks associated with the decision.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in information technology, computing, science, or a related field is required, supplemented by experience supporting Investment Management Application is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in the securities industry and institutional money management practices are desirable, including the completion of, or working towards the completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
  • Working knowledge of MS Development Tools, including VB.NET frameworks, and web services, along with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and report development are highly valuable.
  • Experience with Investment Systems such as Sylvan, Charles River, Simcorp Dimension or LMS Loan Suite are all highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting Charles River Trading System or other Order Management Systems is strongly preferred.
  • The Analyst must have the flexibility required to respond to client requirements during peak workload periods and provide cover off during absence of other staff members; this position may call for providing quality support to applications on weekends and holidays.
